Thai Union Frozen Products-owned canning group MW Brands has begun a partnership with Oceamic Laayoune, owned by Sarma Food. The move will see the Laayoune-based cannery co-pack sardines under the John West and Parmentier brands, for sale in the European market. For now the deal is to co-pack sardines only, though mackerel has come in for discussion as well.
